Greetings from Seoul today! It's been raining all day, and all the banks and government offices are closed for a public holiday in Korea. For the first time in my life, I regret skipping school back in my teenage days. Yes, I grew up skipping school a lot, and it was like an everyday holiday for me. Because of that, I don't really know the official government holidays. Apparently, Korea seems to have lots of holidays, and nowadays, public holidays are important because, since I travel so much, I have very little time to manage my personal obligations, and when everything is closed, it's hard to do personal things.
Right after checking into my hotel, I opened my emails. Fourteen hours of flight and 19.5 hours of total travel time are too long, and I definitely had some missing emails!
The great thing about Korea is that hotels here offer more amenities than US hotels. I forgot to bring my universal chargers, and they provided me with phone chargers for free. Also, somehow, they gave me a free penthouse room upgrade. This may be useful when I bring my hair and makeup artist team this week.
Hopefully, the rain stops tomorrow.
